Everyday hundred of undocumented migrants mostly from Central American countries try to cross Mexico on a journey fraught with danger, risking their lives to fulfill the dream of better life as workers in the United States. Before the Limit is a project on the states of Chiapas and Tabasco, which border Guatemala, where the journey of migrants starts and where constant harassment and exploitation is common. This project, focusing on the journey of undocumented migrants along of the Mexican south border, describes the circumstances they face along the way and the obstacles they have to endure, with the army, authorities, immigration, police, and the civil population in general that take advantage of their fragile situation to extort, rob, kidnap and violently assault them. Today these conditions exist all over the Mexican territory. These photographs are a reminder of the painful experiences of the migrants that must never be forgotten.
